As usual, we had a movie night. Usually, we settle for the movies which are more uplifting and often seen a few times already. However, this time we decided to mix things up and watched a bit more serious, maybe even depressing movie. Spotlight is a great movie which makes you wonder how much did you miss, can you really trust people in power and how we ended up in this horrible place where even an innocent children can't be protected. At least, it made me wonder, but everything in its time.
No matter where I am, this time of year is one of the most beautiful. It differs per country/place, but you still can find something incredibly beautiful. In here, the Netherlands, it's all these people who in the end of the day take out their little tables and littles and simply sit on the side of the street.
I was born and raised in a country which has to most beautiful nature and pretty ladies. I have no idea why, but we are really proud of those two things as if there is nothing else to be proud of. Personally, I have a love-hate relationship with Lithuania.
I am constantly amazed how different my home country (Lithuania) and the Netherlands are. Also, there are so many great things that we could learn from the Dutch. The thing that I like most - you can be whatever you want if you don't hurt others. They don't stick to the rules, to the stereotypes. Dutch as a nation and as a country constantly evolve and seek for something just a bit better, just a bit more suitable for people.
